Field Maple (Acer campestre)

Field maple is highly valuable to our ecosystem here and provides important habitat for much of our wildlife. Left alone it will become a beautiful medium-sized specimen , or if you want a dense hedge then it can be clipped neatly.

It has a deep green foliage in summer, turning to a buttery yellow in autumn. It also boasts an interesting fissured cork like bark unlike any other. 

Fast growing and wind hardy , grows well in free-draining soils.
